The Mind Of The Modern Woman.
I got really good feedback from the last post I wrote. I felt like it got a lot of women asking themselves questions they never felt to ask before. It had women coming to the understanding that the expectations they are asking for from a man in modern society require a lot of changes in themselves. The mind of a modern woman I believe comes with a firmer stance on their beliefs and less of a compromise to their lifestyles. They are successful, driven, ambitious women with goals and targets that bring fulfilment and purpose. With all these attributes, modern women are in a position where they can express themselves freely and openly due to all the equal rights women of the past have fought for and the women of present are still fighting for. With a lot of good changes coming and the need for equality being demanded from women, is there a sense that the entitlements women have acquired has caused an unbalance instead of a equal society between men and women?
Is there still the desire to have a mate and if there is, what approach does the man now need to come with?
What I mean by this is with all the skills, belief and self empowerment and the fact that its obvious more now then before that women are capable of doing the same thing as men.
Women's self empowerment means spending more time on the things women want to achieve personally. Its also becoming apparent that having kids is dropping further down the list of accomplishment's. Could this be because of the new found freedom, women just wanna have some fun before they have to be a mom or is this becoming the norm. Is self fulfilment more important than family, something that was forced on women to make their priority for decades?
I personally believe that woman are doing what they need to do to make sure they are secure if anything goes wrong in the relationship they get into. I think modern society has created a certain amount of distrust in relationships. I think that women are now doing what's necessary to have the skills for a "rainy day" in their relationships. There have been many women in the past who have separated from their partners for whatever reason and due to the fact that they relied on their partner financially, were left struggling to keep up with the demands of society because they didn't have the tools to remain stable.
I would like to hope that because women's independence is fairly new, they are just working out the kinks to how to have a balanced lifestyle. I don't believe that giving men a dose of their own medicine helps humanity in the long run. I think that because women were under the rule of men for so long, things a man asks for now is being rejected not because of logic but because women now have the right to refuse. That power to say no and be respected is being abused to the point where it's sabotaging the equality being created and blurring the lines between right and wrong. The same exact thing men did. I'm all for feminism but not when its extreme and tipping the scale away from equality just like I respect religion but not when it's at the cost of putting other religions down. There is room for everyone to be treated fairly and respected equally.
With women being the creators of life, the new found freedom they have in modern society just seems like a rediscovery of themselves. Being oppressed for so long made women learn other ways of being able to express themselves and be heard. Now they are so close to being equally respected to men maybe women have a right to be rebellious and uncompromising towards men but it doesn't benefit anyone in the long run. All it will create is bitterness and resentment from men, the same bitterness and resentment women have been experiencing towards men. An eye for an eye just means the blind leading the blind. One of us has to be better than the other and I would put my faith more in women to restore balance as they are the nurturers of the two genders and more compassionate. But with modern day women becoming less nurturing there is also the fear that we will just be in the same place as we are now or even worse as we will have less families and more individuals just existing independently in the world.

What do women want from men and how are men meant to contribute to a relationship if there's no longer a necessity to provide stability or security anymore?

Whenever a person is given power they usually use it for evil. Those people are usually men. I'm hoping that with this empowerment women are experiencing, they use it for good to create a balanced environment.
