Black Thoughts 101 - November

I want to talk about women and men from another race or ethnicity that doesn't include black being with a black partner. We live in a world where certain cities are multicultural. A melting pot of people from all walks of life. People from all ethnicities working side by side creating subcultures in these big cities. But what happens when two different racial backgrounds form a relationship. The union of two people from different races or ethnicities creates a clash of two cultures meshing together and exposing the pros and cons of such a union.

Pros: The integration of two cultures combining. Creating diversity in both families and allowing for a deep and better understanding of each other's backgrounds.

Con: The backlash of people within each other's cultures who are not accepting or understanding of the other person culture.

I chose blacks in particular, obviously because I am a black man but also because I think this perception doesn't get spoken about much and I would love to hear peoples views in the comments. Let me first make this statement. My race, the ethnicities associates with my race, are some of the most amazing advanced people I have ever come across. There are so many things that have happened in history that include the abuse mistreatment and injustice of black people. These circumstances have created this misconception of blacks as a whole.

Have you ever noticed that blacks are not associated with anything successful in western society? Don't be mistaken, I know and I have information that states overwise but society as a whole including other races would have a hard time telling you things that are in place that blacks are acknowledged and praised for. Everything that blacks have contributed to society always gets whitewashed, always gets disrespected, abused and disregarded until it is no longer associated with them anymore then it is accepted, praised and becomes lucrative. Hip hop is the at the forefront of black music but how much money is going into developing the industry for black businessmen and women. Tyler Perry Studios is something so amazing that the importance of what he's done should never go unnoticed. So Solid crew a successful garage group in the late 90s, early 2000s in the UK was ahead of their time. They were our No Limit, Cash Money and Death Row balled up into one and they should be the leading record label in the UK but was blackballed so badly that they were never able to recover. Fast forward and music in the U.K is buzzing, probably some of the best music coming from black cultures. But how much of that money is going into black record labels being able to compete with the Universals and EMIs that control the music scene in the UK?

The reason I mentioned all of those things is because black people are not associated with progression. You may think to yourself what is he talking about. I'm not talking about individual success, I mean black cultures as a whole. You look at Jewish people who started in ghettos and now they're buying up real estate left right and centre. You Look at Asians (Indians who came to the UK around the same time as Black Caribbeans) and see how much they have acquired in the same time as Black Caribbeans in the UK and its crazy. Black Africans in the UK are doing the same thing as Indians and this is all because of developing within your culture. But when a person who has no idea about the cultures of blacks gives you there views on blacks it seems to always sound like pity. The one thing that people see of us that they love is our features and physical physic. they love it so much they are manufacturing it and glorifying it now, but they hated it when blacks were the only ones that had it. (And we're still the only ones that naturally produce it). They don't see the progression as cultures tho. So your White European or Hispanic friend or Indian or Chinese or Arab friend, when they talk to you and laugh with you and are empathetic with you ask them this question. If your child was to bring a black partner home how would you feel. If they give you the generic answer "Love is love no matter what colour the person is" Just take that with a pinch of salt. If you've ever been part of an interracial relationship you will have noticed it's not the person you're with. Its the culture that they have grown up in that will tell you what is being thought and the closer it is to your partner e.g. their parent their uncles/aunt. The more you will see how much they think being with a black person is a risk. Blacks are not associated with progression. Humans beings existences stem around progression but because they don't class blacks as human beings we are not classed as progressing* If they admire our features and physic so much why are they always so against our integration in their cultures.

When a white man is integrated into other cultures it is seen as advancing the race. A step up in social class, yet when it is a black person it is seen as a problem. They go to all the negative stereotypes the Europeans created for blacks. Yet behind all those stereotypes, there's a secret fascination they will never admit is there. Like every person in the world were all different we have similar traits that can make it easier to put us in groups but when it comes to black people understand that if you are dating a black person you are dating the most disadvantaged person in existence. Due to a world that has a fear for the potential we have, you will constantly be facing a battle for societies approval that will never come. to be honest we don't want or need validation from anyone. we know who we are how great we are hence why we have no fear of no one else. Black progression is life progression. Without us, the world doesn't progress. Period.
