The F Word: The House Or The field?
Do you know why there is a lot of distrust in black communities?
Because there is a conflict between the house N*gger mentality and the Field N*igga mentality.
There are those of us who feel a part of the establishments created for European success at the cost of the black society and there are those of us who feel like no matter the circumstances we will never be accepted in their establishments.
Other ethnicities that have come to first world countries were able to build amongst themselves and strengthen their economy by relying on each other. You can see it in all the China towns around the world, The Indian community in Southall, London. You can see it in the Little Italy's and Irish communities set up in many nations. But you cannot see it in black communities. The reason why it's so hard for black communities to come together is because of the lack of trust we have for one another. Have you ever seen a black person in a high position in society and hear other black people say: "They sold out". That's the mentality of the Field N*gga when he sees one of his own be welcomed into the white man's society. But why do they have to see it as a negative? Why can we not be happy to see one of our own make it in this harsh brutal world? Because it is believed that, that black man or woman is about to become an enemy for the rest of the black community. Have you ever seen or heard that whenever a group of black slaves wanted to revolt or fight back against their oppressors or run away. There were a lot of times their plans were ruined by one of their own. A black infiltrator who cared more about their master than their own people. The black person who embraces themselves in western society and succeeds is seen as helping "The man" keep the rest of the people down.
There are people who are doing what they have to for themselves and staying true to their core values and core beliefs and just playing the game thats needed to survive and there are those who feel like because they have been "Accepted" they must submit to the will of the people in power and work for them at any cost even if that means betraying their own.
The black race lacks a collectiveness in western societies.
When our families first immigrated to the UK or when segregation was still active in America, there was a collectiveness, a sense of familiarity amongst us because we reminded each other of our homes, our cultures. As life progressed and the first black generation of European born kids came thats when I believe things started to change.
The attitude started to be more selfish. We started to distance ourselves from our beginnings and roots and started looking out for our own and this generation entered the "rat race" of capitalism.
This mentality affects people of brown and black backgrounds more than most because they cannot blend In with European society because they are not of white skin.
An Italian, A Jewish person and an Irish person can blend into each other's communities and push their agendas within these communities. Black and brown people cannot do it as easily which is why there is so much backlash and hatred when it comes to ethnic minorities fighting for equality. For a long time people of color just wanted to feel equal in the environments they were in but made to feel like lesser beings by racial language such as "Ethnic Minority' and the Educational lessons or People of colour being sub-human at one point and of course last but not least the colonizing and mass genocides of the black race.
An Irish person can become French by the third generation of their family.
A Jewish person can become German by the third generation of their family
A black or brown person will always be whatever their ethnic background is no matter what generation because society has created a mentality that lets them always be seen as outsiders in Europe.
So when there are black and brown people with special talents or gifted in some sense, they are plucked from their society and used as pawns in European societies. They get given money, treated as if to feel like they're equals and feel respected amongst their European counterparts but at the same time are being used to make sure their talents and knowledge can have no progressive influence in the black community.
If you take these people out of their communities then how can their communities progress?
Example:
You have a student in Nigeria who wants to become a teacher. They study hard through high school then they have the option of going abroad to college to study. They go, graduate get their masters and become a teacher in whatever foreign country they decided to study in. That talented, smart individual was able to get out but now, will not contribute their skills back to their people. Meaning the people who may need it more will be in the same place because someone that could have helped more kids fulfil their potential has been taken from their system.
This is the cycle that ethnic minorities deal with within western society.
So if this is something that we have seen on so many occasions, it's never going to be easy for black people to trust each other because as far as we are concerned the pattern is still the same. The outcomes are still the same, the methods and tactics being used are still the same. If You believe in Jesus and believe that Jesus was a brown or black man then his disciple Judah makes sense to you. Until there is a political party in the western world that's core foundation is black then there will never be a change in trust amongst black people. If they cannot form an organization then they cannot form a community. If we can not create and sustain our black banks and more black educational institutions then we cannot change that mentality of distrust because we don't have any foundation to start with. Black businesses exist but we need black governing and black services also. If we can see there is no trust to be able to form those things at the top how you think we gonna form those things at the bottom? The goal is always and will always be to leave the struggle but never lose yourself in a world that doesn't care about where you come from. If we can learn to trust one another, we can build a better infrastructure to get our kids achieving more at a higher rate and creating a positive image amongst ourselves but we must no lose sight of the bigger picture. We want to build up black communities so that they are equals in business and life but the minute one of us cashes in, we lose one more opportunity to allow more of us in the field to work for ourselves.
