Transitions

 In life, things change.

We change physically, mentally, emotionally.

In all aspects of life, we have to understand that change is inevitable.

Brands change. Marketing strategies change, relationships change; you get my drift.

Changes can encourage growth.

Changes can encourage you to learn and be better in many aspects of life, and I've decided to write this post in regards to changes that ill be making as a person and as a brand.

When I first started Funeralizm it was about encouraging people to seek the best version of themselves before it was too late. It was to encourage people to rid themselves of the things they no longer felt essential for them to have and to seek happiness in themselves.

That hasn't changed my message is still to strive for the things that bring out the best in you and bring you joy and fulfilment and to help people find ways of how they can channel the process of making this happen.

What has changed for me is the name to sum up the message.

Now Funeralizm to me is still a name I hold very dear to me, but without having the proper understanding of what it means, it instantly comes across negative. I've had many people that I know and whose opinions I value tell me the same thing, and while I always argued back that, when you look into what I'm expressing more it makes more sense, it just isn't something that invites people in. I always believe that everything we experience is a lesson that needs to be learned, and in this lesson, I'm learning about growth. I'm learning about reinventing myself, and that is the exact definition of Funeralizm. We don't need to be held by the choices we made at one time in our lives. We don't need to look at those choices as mistakes either. We can look at those choices as decisions we made with the information we had. The saying when life gives you lemons you make lemonade signifies that. You do the best with what you have, and that includes knowledge. When you gain new knowledge and information, you have to decide what to do with it. You have to see whether or not the latest information can elevate you to a better position or if it will hinder your progress. You have to take into account what time of your life you are in also. When I first thought of the idea of Funeralizm i was in my 20's and had no limit of how I viewed anything my perception on life was, however, I wanted to view it. Negative things could be flipped into a positive perspective and vice versa. My mentality was to create multiple aspects with any view or opinion life would throw at me. My objective was and still is to be able to think freely. My aim is never to be defined as anything and always seek to live and feel the way that brings you the most peace and happiness.

Like big corporate brands, you have to change with the times. That could be changing slogans, logos or even names. Brands cannot apply the same ideologies or mentally that you would have 20/30 years ago. Just like humans, brands have to grow and expand to show positive changes that contribute to society. Human beings do the same thing. As time passes, we cannot maintain the same point of views we had in our adolescents in our adulthood. Some of the knowledge our parents passes onto us may not benefit us in this time in society, but it wasn't to say in their time, it wasn't necessary. As time passes, what they gave to us has to be improved upon and bettered for us to advance further in our lives or not used at all as it could hinder our lives. This is all part of the growing process and the transitions that take place in life. If 2020 has taught us as people anything, is that we are more resilient than we could have ever imagined and there is still so much potential in all of us.

On my journey in life, all I search for is freedom. Freedom of the mind, body and soul. Freedom to transition into a better version of myself, feel happiness in my heart and share this with people who want the same feeling as me. We've all experienced an abundance of happiness at some stage in our lives. That's not just a sense of joy. That's a moment of being free.
