The Re-awakening

We have all witnessed the video that shows the horrific murder of George Floyd by 4 police officers in Minneapolis. This man was handcuffed, laying on his stomach with 4 officers kneeling on him with one kneeling on his neck with no regard to George Floyd stating multiple times that he couldn't breathe. I'll be honest with you, the image of seeing the officer with his knee on George Floyd's neck sent me over the edge emotionally. Many of these incidents have occurred when a black person is dealt with way more aggressively than needed and ends up leading to death. Police Brutality is by far one of the biggest factors in the racial tension that festers in America. Being originally from London, England, witnessing such injustices in America makes me question so much issue that black Americans face.

I wanna know who polices the police?

Who is there to make sure that police are being fair in their conduct of civilians?

People are in such outrage because the level of brutality being handed out to black people is ONLY being handed out to black people.
White kids can commit a mass shooting in highschools with automatic machine rifles and still be successfully detained while black people are being choked out for alleged acts of celling singles/Loosies (Eric Gardner). White people can verbally and physically assault a police officer and be dealt with professionally but a black man can't say anything out of term as he is at risk of being killed.

I'm not saying police shouldn't do their job and reprimand those who do wrong but you must apply the same level of conduct to everyone. When you specifically use excess force on specific groups of people you are showing that there is an agenda against that group of people. That's what the argument has been. That's what the protests and marches have been about, but enough is enough.

Marches won't solve this, Protesting won't solve this.

Blacks will never be accepted into a society and nation that they helped build here in America.

Blacks and other people of colour are just fighting for acceptance into a society that wasn't designed for them.
When I look at other groups of people. Jews, Indians, the story of Italians in America. I always notice something.
They have an infrastructure that allows them to build their communities and economies without the need for outside help. The money of Jews takes 28 days before it leaves the community. For Blacks, it only takes 6 hours.
That in itself should show you that there is no infrastructure in black communities. Jewish people have schools with their own curriculum, they have their own institutions that allow them to grow and network to get further in life without the needs of other races. But what allows them to progress within western society also is being able to blend in with the majority. Black people need their own economic infrastructure. They are not seen as valuable in the western world. There is nothing that black people have that would financially affect the society they are apart of.
Ask yourself this question. Outside of entertainment, what would happen in today's world if you took blacks out of the equations? The black economy doesn't have any value to it and the reason it has no value is that we don't value ourselves. We don't back our own businesses and we don't respect the things that we have and create. I'm not saying all of us but a large majority of us would rather eat food from another ethnicity instead of our own. How many Asians do you see eat West-Indian or Southern food? Now, how many Blacks and Hispanics do you see eat Chinese? How many Italians do you see going to a Nigerian Restaurant and how many African Americans do you see eating pizza? This is just one example of something so small showing how much we value ourselves. We tend to buy what we don't own and that needs to stop. We need to show support to our own in all forms and not only when there is an injustice.  Racism is a system that is in place to help the development of one race at the expense of another. If we build ourselves up we will be able to deal with these issues from a place of equality and not a place of pleading. We would have the respect we have been demanding for decades because we would have value and the only way that these changes can come is when we truly start to value and invest in ourselves. Self-hate, materialism and the need to feel accepted by the dominate race needs to stop. With real investment in becoming self-sufficient, an injustice like this would never take place again.

HBCUs are great for the black communities but what about black high schools, black middle school and elementary schools? Its not bout segregating ourselves or being against anyone, it would be to solely focus on building ourselves up. We create an educational institute then we create a curriculum that would work for blacks and people of colour. We need to teach financial literacy something that a lot of black people struggle with. If we do that then we could create black banks and there would be more trust in blacks being accepted for loans. This could be the blueprint that would create more blacks and people of colour to be in higher positions and owners and not just people in high positions in white companies. We have to challenge establishments by creating our own competition against them. Right now black people don't have options and they know this. They know that a majority of blacks in America are gonna choose the democratic party cause they don't have many choices but why isn't there a party that will create an equal playing field for people of colour? The lack of choices for blacks means they have us wherever they want us so why don't we create our own industries again? Don't allow history to repeat itself where schools in the future only tell of the struggles black people faced throughout the existence of time. Let's change the narrative take this opportunity to establish ourselves and our love for our own.

R.I.P George Floyd
