Life Balances.
In this generation, we're in a world where we are excessive with certain things that's we do. Whether working 60 hours a week, not working at all. We have reached a point where we are lacking a balance. We are no longer one with the world we live in. If you look at the world we're in, everything has a counterbalance of the same importance. Male and female, Moon and the sun, the sea and the sky. Ying and yang. Nature intends for us to have a complete balance in our lives, Yet we are going against nature and wondering why there are so much mental health issues.
Our bodies are being pushed to the extreme. Our minds are being pushed to the extreme. We are being forced into patterns of thought based on our social classes. We are being asked to go all in, in something or not at all. This society is getting to the point where your no longer allowed to form opinions based on the information you get from multiple sources or even be shown multiple things to have a variety of perspectives. We're now living in a society where you are ridiculed if your way of thinking is not like the man or woman standing next to you. Where you cannot like one thing from one group of people and something from another. If you have a mindset that allows you to look at something from multiple perspectives, In today's society. You're special.
There are so many reasons why we have come to this point in life. The excuses before were the fact that we can only understand what we are shown but now, we have access to the whole world in our phones. We have access to so many resources and so much information that now we are getting to a point where we don't even know what is the right way to think or be. There are so many levels to life right now that I don't think people of aware of.
We're all aware of social classes in life:
Poverty Level,
Working-Poor,
Working-Class,
Middle Class,
New Money,
Upper Class.
Each social class tier will provide you with different levels of how life appeals to you.
The same thing happens on social networks. Each class that you fall into, you will see things that appeal to that social class. Example. Most people in poverty or working-class will barely see posts or mentions about the ecosystem or biofuel but will see posts based on entertainment or even crime. How many people do you know in higher classes compared to working-class see a post about working hard, "chasing bags", "doing you" making fun of people who are in financial difficulties. Narratives are being pushed through social media. Each social class is being pushed different agendas. This isn't new. Newspapers have been doing the same thing for years specific newspapers appeal to specific demographics of people and produce information that appeals to that certain group. The Metro and Evening Standard are on a level below The Sun and the Mirror in the UK. Those papers are also on a lower tier than a newspaper like The Times. The U.S has similar levels with Metro NY, NY Daily News being on lower tiers compared to papers like NY Times.
Algorithms are being set to fine-tune you into the directions they need your social class to represent. This also plays a part in your behaviour and how you feel about circumstances in society. Influences from social media encourage you to make choices that are popular to the class you're a part of. The young adults in the working class are being pushed to put everything else aside including family and social time to put in the work to enjoy luxuries like travel, expensive purchases like cars, clothes and jewellery and dismiss anyone who isn't supporting their grind. Now the positive to this is acquiring money, self-financing your life, secure your future. What's also happens is you acquire so much debts that instead of being shown how to invest money smartly, you have to work more hours than before just to stay afloat. The amount of leisure time is being dramatically reduced because putting in more hours at work is being normalized.
What you get with that is you lose the most important years of your life. The time when you're at your strongest, your healthiest and your at your best to fulfill your full potential. Some people have careers and this isn't directed to them this is directed to the people who may not have their dream job or work in the field they want to be in or who just needs a job to support their family. The do what needs to be done people. They have made these people feel like they are lucky to have a job, therefore, work under unfair conditions, long hours and low pay.
The Long hours means a poor work life balance and makes living a balanced lifestyle a thing of the past.
Whether you are Warren Buffett or you're a Janitor. We need to maintain a healthy balance in life. Companies and big businesses now are so concerned with numbers and statistics they forget humanity. Human rights don't get taken into consideration when these computers produce the formulas for success. If we don't do something about this now, mental health issues will continue to get worse. We are losing the human touch of society and its becoming apparent that people aren't realizing this or if they are they don't know how to fix it causing anxiety, depression and mental break-downs. Finding time to take care of oursleves is more important now than ever. Family and friends are more important now than they have ever been in society and I don't mean network friends I mean friends you have emotional connections to.
We are losing emotional connection with the world and therefore losing emtional connections with ourselves. The lower social classes are suffering the most because the poverty line is becoming more and more wider and there is less options that allow people to pay their debt to society but also pay their debt to themseleves too. If you are happy with the way your life is, then this isn't for you but if you feel like your drowning in life right now and feel alone. Just know there are people who understand and will find ways to make things easier.
