The Cat, Dog Complex Pt.1

I'm writing this one as a little fun but at the same time, I could be onto something. I'm not a psychologist but I have noticed a pattern in humans that I think is very interesting. This is just my theory, so here it goes. The Cat, Dog complex. I believe that society has conditioned people in a way which makes them displays similar characteristics and behavioural traits to Cats and Dogs. DOG TRAITS: Dogs. Man's best friend. They are the most popular pet in the world. Descendents from Wolves with a pack-like mentality, they have a heavy reliance on an alpha figure to lead them. They depend on a structure and a routine and are heavily dependant on their owner to take care of them on a day to day basis. These Docile creatures are praised for their obedience, their loyalty and their unconditional love for their owner. Dogs live life to serve and are rewarded and praised for their commitment to serve their owners. CATS TRAITS: Cats. An animal with a sense of independence. Descended from Lions and Tigers, they possess survival skills that allow them to explore their surroundings unassisted. A cat has no leash, doesn't need to be taken for a walk, practices hunting for prey and only needs human assistance for the most minimal task. A cat is used for comfort. They serve no one as a cats mentality is that they are equal so will show as much love and affection to a person as what they receive back. HOW THE AVERAGE HUMAN DISPLAYS TRAITS OF A DOG: The average person can display similar traits to dogs by needing a sense of routine e.g. a job with a set schedule. They may also rely on someone or an organisation to give them order which is the Alpha e.g. a manager or government institution, school, college, university. Sometimes the average person doesn't think further than what's in front of them just like a dog going for a walk and the average person can only go as far as they're conditioning will allow them to just like dogs on a leash. The average person's purpose is to serve their master just like a dog. The only difference is the conditioning of the average person leads them to believe everything they do is of their own thinking which is not true. The average person is conditioned to live the life set by society by interacting in and not question; The News, Newspaper's, Religion and laws. The more docile you become the more you seem like you are successful. You obey the rules, you do what you are told and you are rewarded accordingly. HOW A ENTREPRENEUR DISPLAYS TRAITS OF A CAT: There are people in this world that possess similar traits to a cat. The correct term for these people is entrepreneurs. These types of people have an independent mindset more than the average person. They take more risks and aren't afraid to do things on their own to achieve something solely for their purpose. Much like a cat these people have no boundaries, no limits to how and what they wanna do. they don't need rules and institutions to progress in life. They are what I like to call " Off the leash". The risk that these people take has a bigger meaning at times than the average person. There is no blueprint for the road an entrepreneur takes everything is a risk. Nothing is the same for entrepreneur's there's always a different experience for each one. Much like a cat, a cat’s life is never the same every day. They experience something new whether that be a change in weather another cat around, a bird, there's always something new. CONCLUSION: Whether you believe yourself to have a dog-like mentality or a cat-like mentality there is no one better than the other. But, there is one that I believe is more fulfilling than the other and that is that of a cat. You experience the world as you want. You set your own targets and your limit for success is limitless. You see life with no restrictions and you still stay true to who you are. Your boundaries are non-existent but your purpose is yours you live by your rules in the confinement of whatever situation you are in. I believe a cat has more peace within itself and I believe that a cat should be more praised and appreciated than it is. I end with this, I believe it’s man's own insecurities that make Dogs the ideal pet, The need to control and have a God-like status to something. Of all creatures on this planet, a Dog has been broken so deeply that they are the most docile submissive creatures to ever exist. They're exactly want man wanted for slaves. Man plays God and they rewarded that Docile creature by calling it "Dog" (God Backwards). These same insecurities are what shapes and moulds our society so really our domesticated animals are not our pets but more like a reflection of ourselves.
